Covid 19 – and African Violet

Travel and tourism will not return the same as it was before – a new type of travel will emerge. There will be fewer crowds, more individual space, thus be much more personal.

Travel for the near future will be by car, so we look forward to welcoming local visitors from Cape Town and surrounds. I have always loved being a tourist in my own town – Cape Town! What a pleasure as the mother city has so much to offer. Each area in Cape Town is so different to every other – each one is unique.

Being centrally situated, you are close to all the beaches on the Atlantic and False Bay coasts. The Boulder’s penguins are 15 minutes drive, as is picturesque and quaint Kalk Bay, with great shops and restaurants. We love going to Scarborough, even just for a coffee or walk along the beach. Majestic Cape Point is an easy 30 minute scenic drive south, and you can then continue past Miller’s Point and up the False Bay coast via the Blue Marlin restaurant and back to Simon’s Town.

Wonderful Capetonians come and stay at African Violet Guest Suites and experience the wonders of the south peninsula. Open your eyes, and pretend you are somewhere else…somewhere exotic! African Violet has tastefully decorated, beautiful self-catering apartments, each with its own private sit-out area.
